Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. The present sportscaster is for ESPN who is also anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She began her career at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bi-lingual since age nine. Her abilities were crucial in her landing her first job as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she collaborated with producers of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then her first job, her CBS subsidiary that is located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009, she relocated from Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as an anchor for the newscast of KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. The reporter covered stories about drug trafficking and immigration both across the Texas as well as the Mexico frontier, she worked as a journalist on Fox2 News, which is a Spanish channel KNVO TV48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Anchor duties for sports or weather were frequent requests. She then anchored and reported for Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was granted more responsibilities. She covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. Additionally, she was the producer of Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she was the anchor. The anchor was also the sports anchor of Despierta America Deportes morning show. Also, she was a sports anchor for Primer Impacto, a magazine show that was broadcast on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents hail origins from Veracruz Mexico. In the past, they relocated into Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November in 1985. Her sister is also there. The family in 1992 quit Mexico and moved to Miami. The couple divorced shortly after and in 1995 she tied the knot with a naval designer called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. The summer of 2006, she went to spend the week she spent with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed there. Antonietta, a high-school senior with an idea of what she wanted her life to be, decided to visit Mount Union University to determine if the school suited her. She discovered that she liked the campus, and the university offered the degree she was looking for. When she finished her high-school education, she enrolled in the University to pursue media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the managing director for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a part. He guided her to become self-confident and his passion for journalism greatly influenced her and she, in turn, was determined to fulfill the expectations of him and not let him down.
